What is Physical Therapy?

Physical Therapy aims to ease pain, improve functionality, movement, and prevent injury. With an array of techniques available, physical therapists develop a customized plan to manipulate the body of a patient to increase circulation, to promote faster healing. Then we will prescribe exercise to help stabilize the area to prevent future injury. The goal is to improve the health and quality of life for you.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Depending on your condition, a typical inital physical therapy session will last approximately 45 to 60 minutes.

Here are some important things to keep in mind:

Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move around in and allows access to your point of pain. Sweatpants, gym shoes and other work out attire is preferred.

We advise you to arrive 10 minutes early. Your appointment time reflects when treatment begins. 

 

New patient forms should be completed prior to our initial appointment, and will be emailed with verification of the session. For your sessions, bring any medical assistive devices, such as a brace, splint or crutches.

Call us if you are running late, so we can accommodate your schedule.
